JOB TITLE: Health and Safety Manager 29th June,09

Job Description : * Proven knowledge of regulations and internal standards pertaining to health and safety in construction companies;

* Arrange monthly or biweekly safety meeting with all Project Managers and Project Engineers to implement and awareness of site safety to prevent accident / incident and loss prevention.

* Arrange safety training for all senior staff and workers.

* Manage safety staff on site.

* review the safety manual.

* Arrange co-ordination meeting with General Manager and all Project Managers.

* Provide all safety documents formats and maintain each file.

* Keep all safety records and documentation related to safety.

* Familiar with Municipality requirements.

* Monitor all the safety officers and Engineers and other safety personnel.

* Monthly safety audits and score and submit monthly safety summary reports to Department Manager

* Ensure implementation of safety rules and providing good working environment to workers.

* Check site safety measures

Prepare risk assessment and take necessary corrective action.

Having at least an engineering degree from an accredited university, you will have between 10-15 years of experience in the field of health, safety and environmental planning, administration and implementation of procedures and regulations at major construction projects. Membership of professional relevant bodies.
