Job Description :

My client are a reputable Engineering and Construction group who primarily focus on the oil and gas and infrastructure sectors.

Their HQ has been in Dubai since 2003 and they currently have active projects in a range of countries across the ME.

They currently have a very high-profile position in the Quality Department for a Group Manager - Quality. Reporting to the companies ED HSEQ and will be their chief Quality officer.

He/she will be responsible for the performance and development of corporate Quality management systems. He/She will also be responsible for directing the team of Quality Managers to ensure that appropriate tools, systems, methods, procedures and training are available for successful business/project execution. He/she will be the Group's focal point on all Quality related matters for both Internal (the group's business/projects) and external (Clients, Suppliers, Contractors, Govt. agencies, and all other interested parties) contacts.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities include:

Possesses specialized skills and knowledge to handle the challenges and complexities of the business line or project Quality activities

Communicates effectively at all levels and contributes ideas that stimulate positive direction of regional or business line personnel

Uses progressive work and educational experience gained at this grade to increase knowledge and improve expertise

Reviews the identification, preparation and maintenance of Quality Department records

Reviews monthly Quality activity reports and issues reports to management and projects

Provides review and follow-up actions related to Quality related corrective actions

Assists in the identification and operation of project interface control activities

Monitors effectiveness of management practices and productivity indicators using data such as turnover rates, budget variance etc.

Possesses decision-making authority and his/her recommendations have a significant impact on regional or business line Quality policies and programs.

Provides technical and general supervision and administrative direction in Quality matters.

Provides mentoring/people development for direct reports

Maintains lead auditor qualifications and performs formal and documented audits/surveillance of the Quality management systems.

Prepares and presents Quality related indoctrination and training sessions to department and project personnel

Oversees Quality budgeting activities

Remains familiar with business line/industry consensus codes, standards and best practices.

Maintains harmonious client relations

Prepares written and oral presentation materials in support of regional or business line proposal activities

Maintains overall Management Review process

Serves as the General Manage Quality, if necessary

When serving as the General Manager Quality:

- Ensures the establishment of Quality Management programme in line with the functional requireme
