JOB TITLE: PROCUREMENT AND PURCHASING MANAGER

Job Description : Based in Dubai, my clients is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and sale of comprehensive systems and components used in oil and gas and provide a supply chain integration services to the upstream oil and gas industry.
They current have a position for a Purchasing Manager to deliver exceptional services to their internal and external customers by balancing supply while managing manufacturing facilities. The main function of the role is to Manage procurement, materials and purchases.
Requirements
o Degree qualified with experience. o Relevant experience in the UAE / Middle-east region
o Excellent command over the English language
o Have knowledge and hands-on experience of an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle or JDE
o Experience in a professional organisation with exposure to Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental management systems.
o Must have a valid UAE driving licence
o Must have procurement experience
o Willing to travel o Proven track record in developing and implementing an operation plan which achieves the most effective and efficient use of manpower, equipment and materials.
o Strong supervisory / leadership and communication skills
o Understanding of financial budgeting
o Knowledge and experience in purchasing raw material and parts made from AISI grades
o Knowledge and Hands-on experience of manufacturing and MRP systems - preferably in an Oilfield Manufacturing environment
o Ability to plan, execute and procure steel from US / European / Japanese suppliers / mills,
o Ability to plan, execute and procure turn key components from manufacturers in India, China, and other lower cost supply bases
o Solid experience in production control, warehouse, inventory, shipping and receiving.
o Understanding and hands of experience of JIT, 6-Sigma and quality planning
