Job Description :

The Discipline Head - Process Engineering is responsible for all Process Engineering design services. This responsibility embodies all oil and gas facilities related activities ranging from front-end studies through to detailed design and as built projects. They organise, manage, assign and control staff working in the discipline, taking responsibility for technological aspects, quality control, HR matters - particularly the professional development of the team. Control & co-ordinate all design engineering & drafting activities to ensure efficient and economical design in accordance with Contract requirements and good engineering practices.

Qualifications / Experience:

*Degree in relevant Engineering subject (B.Sc./B.Eng/M.Sc)

*Membership of internationally accepted applicable Professional Institute

*Minimum 15 years experience in the design and specification of upstream oil & gas facilities with extensive experience in conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design

Accomplishments:

*Carrying out screening studies and develop process schematics for the Company Conceptual Engineers in support of potential engineering projects.

*Carrying out process simulations and optimisation studies for selected projects and prepare Process Flow Schemes with mass balances and equipment sizes.

*Providing detailed process engineering input during all design phases, including interpretation of standards.

*Reviewing any process design work carried out by third parties (vendors), and to participate in, and lead, Hazops, Safety and Facility audits.

*Identifying potential applications for new technology.

*Actively training and encouraging the development of junior staff to fulfil process and systems engineering roles.

*Shall have single point responsibility for the integrity and quality of all work within the discipline.

*Resource and staff management within discipline.

*To establish the actual (as opposed to design) capacities and capabilities of existing field facilities in order to identify potential bottlenecks and scope for optimisation.

Requirements:

*Some Field experience in construction & commissioning will be an added advantage.

Ability to communicate, delegate, and motivate the Discipline team.

Fluent in spoken and written English.

*Conversant with relevant international design and construction standards (ANSI, ASTM, API, BSI, IP, ISO, etc.)

*Minimum of 5 years experience in heading a design team

*Capable of reading, interpreting and managing discipline specific engineering work right from basic level to front-end & detailed design covering all type of activities typical in an on-shore oil & gas environment.
