JOB TITLE: Marine Technical Authority role

RECRUITING COMPANY : LEAP29

Job Description : Leap29 is currently working with a major UAE based petroleum company to recruit a Marine Technical Authority position for their head office in Dubai.

The role forms part of the Marine Logistics Team and has full responsibility for Marine Performance Standards across all operations. This will include maintaining all Technical and Safety Critical Performance Standards and full compliance to Marine Standards.

Other duties:

*Ensuring all vessels engaged on behalf of the company are managed in compliance with company and regulatory Policy Standards

*Liaison with the Port Captain regarding offshore field operations

*Technical input into contractual arrangements

*Provision of safe and cost effective marine solutions with Project, Maintenance and Drilling Managers

Requirements

*A Maritime degree or equivalent

*Knowledge and experience in the application of Marine Regulations and Practices, Risk Management

*Evidence of experience in marine safety

*Master Mariner Class 1/Deck 2 Class

*Marine Oil & Gas operations experience

It would also greatly benefit your application if you can demonstrate experience of HSEQ/Audit management and Oil Spill Response knowledge. Current or recent experience working in a similar role in the UAE would also be a distinct advantage.
