The Road Transport Authority is responsible for planning and providing the requirements of transport, roads and traffic in the Emirate of Dubai, and between Dubai and other Emirates of the UAE, neighbouring countries in order to provide an effective and an integrated transport system capable of achieving Dubai's vision and serving the vital interests of the Emirate. The Dubai metro, the worlds most advanced urban rail system, will become operational in September and this has resulted in a number of vacancies. It has 70km of track, 47 stations including 9 underground and a with a number of proposed extensions there has never been a better time for rail professionals to pursue a career in this exciting and vibrant city.

The fare systems chief engineer will be responsible for managing, monitoring and co-ordination of all aspects of automatic fare collection (AFC) and revenue operations carried out by the OandM contractor in execution of revenue protection and procedures. You will be planning and monitoring all AFC systems related to activities in station revenue operations, car park revenue operations, revenue protection and cash collection on the Metro system as well as managing and monitoring the OandM contractor with regards to operation of the AFC system and revenue protection measures.

To apply candidates should have good oral and written communication skills, report writing and interpersonal skills, possess relevant technical Higher Diploma or Degree from a recognized university and have a proven background of Automatic Fare Systems on a metro system.
